Nature-based solutions in the water sector || Dr Nora Van Cauwenbergh

Nora is an expert in water and sustainable development with experience in academia and the private sector on integrating nature-based solutions and green infrastructure in basin, city and building planning and design. Central to her work is the connection of communities, government and businesses to identify opportunities for greening the economy. She has academic positions in VUB, Belgium and IHE Delft, the Netherlands, where she teaches various water management topics. She is a co-founder and leads the business development of green solutions at BitaGreen, an award-winning start-up specialising in the assessment of urban climate risks and nature-based risk reduction.

    This is indeed fantastic! Many people drink very contaminated water because they live in places cut from quasi-urban areas where help can reach. It is a pity to see such people dying of waterborne diseases that they were not supposed to. This innovation will assist such groups. In my country, there are such communities that need help.
