The Green Living Chats podcast

It’s about time we define SUSTAINABILITY!

Why should you listen to the Green Living Chats podcast

Sustainability has become such a household name that everyone uses it for their own “benefit” in today’s world; believe it or not, it’s called “Greenwashing”. With the urgency of Climate Change, we created a platform to discuss emerging environmental issues worldwide and practical solutions from different perspectives. Here we define sustainability, educate you and show your role in contributing to the regenerative ecosystem.

We bring you inspiring stories from the industry and R&D, and together we can support their work to promote the sustainability agenda across the globe.

The Green Living Chats platform discusses emerging environmental issues and challenges worldwide. We use the platform to support sustainability-related startups, workshops, webinars, awareness projects, research projects, and other initiatives. We aim to create awareness and bridge the gap between R&D and the industry, education stakeholders, entrepreneurs and investors and all stakeholders.

“So dear #Greenchatters, let’s get started!”

The Green Living Chats podcast is brought to you by our team at Eco Amet Solutions in Ghana this and every Sunday at 6 pm GMT. We are looking forward to making a positive impact on our world. So let’s build up a community and learn together.

Segments on the GLC podcast

At the Green Living Chats podcast, we are very passionate about two things: Sustainability and Education. We believe these go together at all levels, so we engage in interdisciplinary conversations that help us to bridge the gaps in all things sustainability and Education.

Environmental sustainability segment

We have conversations with inspiring people doing their bits to solve some of the overwhelming environmental challenges worldwide in this segment. Then, we talk about their solutions, promote their work, and educate you, our cherished listeners, about what you can do.

New paradigms of education segment

In this two-fold segment, we have discussions with – (1) researchers from diverse disciplines to take bits from their research to discuss how their findings can be applied in the industry; and (2) educators from diverse programs and regions to discuss new paradigms that both challenge and enhance our current paradigms and make education more enriching. This platform aims to promote interdisciplinary conversation, critical thinking, and research discussions in a relaxed space and bridge the gap between R&D-R&D and R&D-Industry..

Guess what Season V is all about...

In nature, all species live such that their resources and by-product form part of and nourish nature’s regenerative ecosystem – there is nothing like waste. However, humans have created a different ecosystem for ourselves that has, for years, breached nature’s rules of “No waste allowed” and instead potentially offset nature’s cycles. Our footprint on earth hasn’t been much more evident than it is today – Human-induced climate change is already affecting many weather and climate extremes in every region across the globe – with widespread loss and damage to both nature and people” – IPCC 2023.

In response, we are actively embracing renewable energies, setting carbon-neutral targets, adopting circular and regenerative economies, and striving for sustainability to reduce our environmental footprint. All stakeholders approach these solutions from their unique perspectives, as there is no single “standard” for sustainable practices.

If nature were a business partner, which solutions would she invest in?

Our theme for Season V is … “Sustainable Solutions

Join us on every episode as we explore global solutions in water, air, land, biodiversity and different ecosystems. This podcast is produced and sponsored by Eco Amet Solutions Limited in Accra, Ghana, driving the going back to the green agenda in Sub-Saharan Regions.

The "Philosophy in PhD" PodiNar series- Part II

In this second program of the podinar series, we hope to achieve two main objectives:

  1. Discuss the value of learning to summarize big ideas: According to Arckam’s razor, Truth Is Simple. Therefore, the ability of any graduate student to present their opinions or findings in concise and coherent words reflects how well they have thought about them and understand them. Here we discuss the 3minutes thesis module.
  2. Developing interdisciplinary research collaborations: Ideas do not reside in one mind or field. Therefore, to adequately tackle problems in society, reasons must come together. But what is the value of this? And what does it look like?

Attendees will benefit from developing a 3-mins thesis presentation and also how to cultivate interdisciplinary research collaborations.
