Welcome to Season V of the Green Living Chats podcast.
In nature, all species live such that their resources and by-product form part of and nourish nature’s regenerative ecosystem – there is nothing like waste. However, humans have created a different ecosystem for ourselves that has, for years, breached nature’s rules of “No waste allowed” and instead potentially offset nature’s cycles. Our footprint on earth hasn’t been much more evident than it is today – “Human-induced climate change is already affecting many weather and climate extremes in every region across the globe – with widespread loss and damage to both nature and people” – IPCC 2023.
In response, we are actively embracing renewable energies, setting carbon-neutral targets, adopting circular and regenerative economies, and striving for sustainability to reduce our environmental footprint. All stakeholders approach these solutions from their unique perspectives, as there is no single “standard” for sustainable practices. If nature were a business partner, which solutions would she invest in?
Our theme for Season V is “Sustainable Solutions” – Join us on every episode as we explore global solutions in water, air, land, biodiversity and different ecosystems.
